Martina is fascinated by the salamanders’ ability to exploit both aquatic and terrestrial habitats that once upon a time misled people to fear salamanders as mythical creatures.  

She sees, what a positive impact on biodiversity and the ecosystem these amphibians have and how rapidly their population is declining in nature.
